Unfortunately I damaged the ligaments in my leg skiing. The training sessions kept me in shape despite my injury and Julia re-designed the program to help develop the muscles that support my knee as well as incorporating developmental stretching to aided my recovery.
A few months later I broke two ribs and again, Julia changed the program to accommodate this. Although my dreams for competing in the triathlon were dashed, we have continued to train together up to the present day with my goal to take part in the 2005 Geneva Triathlon.
Now, I am running three times a week and when the weather warms up I hope to start swimming and cycling again. My posture has improved and I am feeling fitter than I have in years. Julia has great motivational skills, enthusiasm, knowledge of her subject and a sense of humour that makes getting up at 6.30 in the morning for her session worthwhile. I have left behind group aerobic and gym classes due to a lack of supervision and guidance which Julia painstakingly provides. She has been the best investment I have ever made in my health and fitness.
